According to this contract, volunteers will undergo the following stages of training:

Basic general military training

Professional training

Adaptation course in a military unit

Volunteers will receive a one-time monetary allowance of 1 million hryvnias (approximately 23,000 euros):

200,000 hryvnias – after signing the contract

300,000 hryvnias – after completing training

500,000 hryvnias – upon discharge from the military unit's personnel list

Additionally, they will receive a monthly allowance of up to 120,000 hryvnias, the opportunity to obtain a 0% mortgage loan after completing service, and other social benefits.

On January 12, shortly before his appointment as National Security Advisor to the U.S. President, Congressman Mike Waltz spoke on ABC News, stating that stabilization of the front line should be a prerequisite for peace negotiations on Ukraine.

He also pointed out the shortage of military personnel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, emphasizing the need to address this issue. "Currently, the draft age in Ukraine starts not at 18, but at 26 (in fact, it’s 25)," Waltz stated. "If Ukrainians are calling on the world to support democracy, they must also go all-in to defend it," he concluded.

Additionally, on February 8, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in an interview with the RND media group, noted that in the future, Ukraine’s army will not be able to finance itself independently and will require financial support from Germany and other allies.
