The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) will be forced to suspend its activities in the Middle East in general and in the Gaza Strip in particular if it does not receive further funding.
UNRWA spokesperson Juliette Touma said.
"If the funding is not resumed, UNRWA will not be able to continue its services and operations across the region, including in Gaza, beyond the end of February," she said.
For information, several countries, including the UK, Germany, Canada and the US, have announced the suspension of UNRWA funding due to suspected links to the Palestinian radical Hamas movement.
