The United States has reduced its Ukraine peace plan from 28 to 19 points following negotiations in Geneva. According to Bloomberg, the proposal to allocate $100 billion from frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s reconstruction has been removed from the document.
The U.S. has revised its proposed peace plan for Ukraine, cutting it from 28 to 19 points. Bloomberg sources involved in the Geneva discussions reported the changes but did not specify which provisions were altered or removed.
According to the sources, the final version no longer includes the clause suggesting that $100 billion from frozen Russian assets be directed toward rebuilding Ukraine.
Alexander Bevz, adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, confirmed the revisions, stating:
“The 28-point plan, in the form in which everyone saw it, no longer exists. Some points were removed, others amended.”
Yury Ushakov, aide to the President of Russia, said Moscow has received the updated U.S. peace proposal, although no discussions with Russia have yet taken place. He noted that many provisions of the American plan appear acceptable.
Ushakov added that the European peace plan, unlike the U.S. proposal, “is clearly non-constructive at first glance and does not suit us.”
