The 109th meeting of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) concluded in Sanya, China. Uzbekistan, represented at the highest levels of the organization’s leadership, took an active role in shaping the future of the continent's major sporting competitions.

Representing the republic’s interests at the event were Otabek Umarov, Vice-President of the OCA and First Deputy Chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan, along with NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov.

The meeting took place on the eve of the "Sanya 2026" Asian Beach Games. Participants reviewed final readiness reports on facilities and were presented with a large-scale progress update on the "Aichi-Nagoya 2026" Summer Asian Games. Looking beyond the current cycle, the Board also gazed into the next decade, evaluating bids from candidate nations to host the 2030 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The Uzbek delegation's participation in the Executive Board highlights the country's rising influence within the Olympic movement and its status as a key player in sports infrastructure and diplomacy across Asia.
