According to the press service of the Tashkent City Courts, the court convicted Mirzayev under Article 168, Part 4(a) (fraud), Article 205, Part 2(a) (abuse of official authority), and Article 208 (official inaction). In addition to imprisonment, he was barred from holding certain positions or exercising specified rights for three years. The remaining eight defendants were convicted under various provisions of the Criminal Code, including violations of personal data legislation, tax evasion, breaches of trade and service regulations, forgery and use of counterfeit documents, as well as other criminal offenses. They received prison sentences ranging from four to nine years. The court also ordered compensation for the damages caused. The Shaykhantakhur District Criminal Court of Tashkent has sentenced Mubin Mirzayev, the former First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan's Tax Committee, along with eight other defendants. Officials reported that 41,000 tonnes of LPG were supplied in Andijan Region during the first half of the year against a target of 48,000 tonnes, while deliveries are behind schedule in 318 mahallas. Under the new approach, private companies will be allowed to supply households and businesses with LPG imported independently or purchased through commodity exchanges.
