Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to open two border posts
In Uzbekistan's Namangan Region, a border post on the Uchkurgan-Madaniyat road is currently under reconstruction in Buston mahalla, which connects the two countries.

According to the regional administration, similar work is being carried out at the Kengsai customs post in the Kyrgyz village of Kyzyl-Tuu in Jalalabad province. Both are scheduled to be completed this year.

Originally, there were 15 border checkpoints on the border between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, but many of them were closed for a long time. Currently, some of them are gradually reopening.

Last September, the Mingtepa - Kara Bagysh and Khanabad - Bekabad checkpoints, which are located on the border of Markhamat district of Andijan province and Aravan district of Osh province, as well as in Khanabad city of Andijan province and Suzak district of Jalalabad province, were opened. These points have been closed since 2010.
