On October 15, 2025, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, who arrived in Tashkent with a high-level delegation of major Saudi companies.

The talks focused on strengthening multifaceted cooperation and implementing agreements reached at the highest level. Al-Falih conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Both sides noted the dynamic growth of bilateral relations, including rising trade and investment volumes, the increasing number of joint ventures, and expanded air connectivity.

The joint project portfolio now totals $27 billion, with $15 billion dedicated to major energy projects implemented together with ACWA Power.

Special attention was given to accelerating initiatives in green energy, agriculture, electrical engineering, real estate, and regional infrastructure modernization. The sides also praised the outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission and Business Council meetings held in Tashkent, where new agreements and contracts were signed.
