Uzbekistan and the Islamic Development Bank will double joint projects
On September 17, during the “From Poverty to Prosperity” forum in Namangan, the Head of State met with IsDB President Muhammad bin Sulayman Al-Jasser.

It was noted that cooperation with the Bank has significantly expanded in recent years: the joint project portfolio has exceeded $5 billion, covering key sectors such as transport, infrastructure, housing construction, energy, healthcare, and education. More than 40% of investments are directed to the private sector.

President Mirziyoyev proposed a long-term Strategic Partnership Program to scale up financing for infrastructure, social projects, and private sector initiatives. Special focus was placed on building modern medical centers in the regions, modernizing highways, supporting private businesses, and rehabilitating irrigation canals.

For his part, the IsDB President congratulated Uzbekistan on the successful forum and reaffirmed the Bank’s readiness to support the country’s anti-poverty initiatives.
