Uzbekistan and Vietnam to set up joint trade house

As part of a three-day visit to Vietnam by Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, the delegation took part in an Uzbek-Vietnamese business forum held on 19 March. This was reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Reportedly, the Uzbekistan-Vietnam business forum and bilateral B2B meetings were organised with the participation of representatives of business circles of the two countries.

In particular, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement on opening a joint Uzbekistan-Vietnam Trading House in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

"Today in Hanoi we hosted the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Business Forum. Welcomed all the participants and briefed about the opportunities in Uzbekistan. Appreciate the industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and government officials for their candid interest and support in boosting bilateral economic cooperation. Applaud the productive B2B meetings took place during the forum. We call businesses in our two nations to use this unique momentum to bring more tangible projects and utilize untapped potential," the Uzbek Foreign Minister wrote in his telegram channel.

This is the first visit of the Uzbek foreign minister to Vietnam since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992.
