A total of 18 companies have been approved: six are car manufacturers, while the rest act as official importers of foreign brands. Among them are major names such as Chevrolet, Kia, Hyundai, BYD, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and BMW.
The list includes:
UzAuto Motors (Chevrolet),
ADM Jizzakh (Haval, Kia, Lada),
Asaka Motors International (Hyundai, Shineray),
BYD Uzbekistan Factory (BYD),
Jizzakh Automobile Plant (Volkswagen, Jetta),
Samarkand Automobile Plant (SAZ),
as well as importers like Avtocapital (Mercedes-Benz), Premium Auto (BMW), and Orbis Cars Premium (Porsche).
The situation with the Chinese brand Leapmotor is also highlighted: in March, the agency recommended suspending certification due to electromagnetic interference issues found in one model. However, after further inspections, certification was resumed in April under the condition that the company operates through an official distributor.
