The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan have strengthened their position on the world stage: according to the Global Firepower–2026 ranking, the country’s army rose to 53rd place among 145 nations, maintaining its leadership in Central Asia.

According to the latest Global Firepower–2026 ranking, the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan improved their performance and reached 53rd place out of 145 countries. In 2025, the country was ranked 58th. Uzbekistan continues to lead among Central Asian states.

Regional neighbors ranked as follows: Kazakhstan — 58th, Turkmenistan — 78th, Tajikistan — 100th, Kyrgyzstan — 109th.

A key factor in the ranking increase was the introduction of modern reconnaissance and surveillance drones, the first in Central Asia. Uztechtrade purchased Flexrotor drones from Airbus Helicopters, strengthening the army’s capabilities and operational effectiveness.

Experts note that modernization and the adoption of new technologies bolster Uzbekistan’s position in the global military ranking and enhance its strategic resilience in the region.
