Uzbekistan imposes punishment for data "leakage"
Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, serious efforts have been made to regulate new digital realities: the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved in the first reading a draft law introducing liability for the illegal use of artificial intelligence in the processing and dissemination of personal data.
Now, "leakage" of data using AI will be punishable by administrative arrest for up to 15 days, a fine of 50 to 100 BCA, and confiscation of the equipment used to commit the offense.
The document pays special attention to the safety of citizens:
mandatory marking of AI-generated content is introduced;
the use of AI in decision-making affecting human rights and freedoms without human participation is prohibited;
The main directions of state policy in the field of artificial intelligence and the functions of the authorized body are defined.
The leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" party, Alisher Kadyrov, emphasized that the innovations will help prevent the misuse of new technologies and create a legal basis for their safe use in the future.
