Uzbekistan is ready to contribute to the restoration of cultural sites in Karabakh

Shusha is a sacred place, confirming that Azerbaijan has restored historical justice and reclaimed the territory of Karabakh. This was the greatest dream of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, a friend of Uzbekistan, and it was successfully realized by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

Aktam Khaitov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, stated this at the international conference "Organization of Turkic States: Towards New Strategic Goals in the Context of Geopolitical Realities and Global Cataclysms" held in Shusha on 15 June.

Assessing Azerbaijan as a reliable partner of Uzbekistan that has stood the test of time, Aktam Khaitov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are friendly countries with a common language and traditions.

"Friendly and trusting relations between the heads of state of both countries contribute to the expansion of our cooperation. The head of our state has repeatedly stated that Uzbekistan is ready to contribute to the restoration of cultural objects on Karabakh land. Last year in Fizuli, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, attended the opening ceremony of Mirza Ulugbek School No. 1, built with Uzbekistan's support. We are confident that the school has become a symbol of sincere friendship," he added.

An international conference on "Organization of Turkic States: Towards New Strategic Goals in the Context of Geopolitical Realities and Global Cataclysms" organized by the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), started in Shusha on 15 June. About 300 guests, including leaders of ruling parties from the member and observer countries of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), are taking part in the international conference.

It is worth notingThe Days of Azerbaijani Culture, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, were held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, from 10 to 14 June.
