"Uzbekistan Mahallasi" Residential Complex Officially Opens in Turkey's Hatay

Humanitarian diplomacy and the historical shared heritage of nations continue to serve as a solid foundation for deepening the strategic partnership between Tashkent and Ankara, finding material expression in large-scale infrastructure projects of solidarity. In the Arsuz district of Turkey's Hatay province, a grand opening ceremony was held for a new residential complex built by Uzbekistan, which formed the cornerstone of the "Uzbekistan Mahallasi" residential area. Designed to immortalize the memory of the extensive assistance provided by the Uzbek side following the devastating earthquake of February 6, 2023, the event also marked the official opening of Shavkat Mirziyoyev Boulevard, alongside Tashkent and Samarkand streets.
The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Nuriddin Ismoilov, Khokim of the Khorezm Region, Jurabek Rakhimov, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, and the Governor of Hatay Province, Mustafa Masatlı. In their addresses, the Turkish officials expressed profound gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan, who stood by them during their most difficult days. It was emphasized that the establishment of this neighborhood, which was highlighted during the Uzbek President's visit to Ankara this January, symbolizes the eternal friendship between the two nations, while Uzbekistan itself stands today as a key center of Islamic civilization and the Turkic world, demonstrating the high achievements of its ongoing reforms.
