Uzbekistan Plans to Supply Nurses to Germany with High Salaries
Uzbekistan
Due to the growing demand for nurses in Germany, 14 medical colleges in Uzbekistan will start training based on German standards from 2025. This initiative aims not only to address the medical sector but also to prepare internationally qualified professionals in other fields using foreign expertise.
Starting in 2025, 14 medical colleges named after Abu Ali ibn Sina will transition to German standards. During the three-year training, students will prepare to obtain a B2-level German language certificate and an international diploma.
This opportunity provides significant benefits for Uzbeks aspiring to work in Germany’s healthcare sector. Graduates will acquire the qualifications and language skills required for employment in Germany.
In collaboration with companies like Simson Private Akademie and SHB West, 13 joint training courses will be organized. Additionally, South Korean companies Hyundai and Samsung will partner to implement training programs for high-demand professions. These courses will be conducted with provisions for educational facilities and dormitories.
Intergovernmental agreements on migration and mobility, signed between Germany and Uzbekistan in 2024, further strengthen this cooperation. Under these agreements, 800 Uzbek nurses will be sent to Germany in 2024, earning a minimum salary of 2,200 euros.
Colleges in Uzbekistan are being transformed into technical schools, some of which will gain academic independence and the ability to offer paid services. To enhance the quality of education, programs based on the British BTEC system and the German dual education system are being introduced.
