A Competitor to Damas Launches Production in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan
The new seven-seater Wuling N111 minivan from Asaka Motors is set to compete with the popular Chevrolet Damas. Production began on January 23, 2025, in the Syrdarya region. The vehicle's price is set at 126 million soums.
Asaka Motors continues to expand its lineup by launching mass production of the Wuling N111, a minivan expected to serve as an affordable and functional solution for families and small businesses. Despite being based on a 12-year-old platform, the model comes equipped with a modern fuel-injection engine, air conditioning, and an ABS system, setting it apart from competitors.
The production takes place at a facility that has been manufacturing six Hyundai models, including the popular Elantra, Sonata, and Santa Fe, since 2024. The start of Wuling N111 production underscores Asaka Motors’ ambition to strengthen its market position and offer more options to consumers.
