Uzbekistan President's Special Advisor Visits China

On February 25, in Beijing, Sardor Umurzakov, the Special Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan, met with Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of the strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan.
Li Shulei noted that last year, the leaders of the two countries announced the elevation of bilateral relations to the level of an "all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership." He emphasized that this was a historic achievement that marks a new stage in the relationship between the two nations.
Sardor Umurzakov, in turn, stated that Uzbekistan is ready to develop cooperation with China in all areas. He emphasized the importance of strengthening and consistently advancing bilateral ties in line with the strategic direction set by the two heads of state.
China expressed its willingness to continue close cooperation with Uzbekistan in political and economic spheres, strengthen interparty exchanges, and deepen cultural dialogue and civilizational interaction. These initiatives are expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
This meeting is anticipated to be an important step in reinforcing friendly relations between China and Uzbekistan and in promoting new initiatives.
