Uzbekistan’s Senate approved on August 7 the Law “On State Pension Provision for Military Personnel (Employees) and Their Family Members.” For the first time, a single law establishes the categories of people eligible for state pensions, the conditions for granting pensions, and the procedures for their calculation, recalculation and payment.

Uzbekistan Raises Maximum Military Pension Benefit to 100%
One of the key changes is an increase in the maximum pension benefit for those with more than 30 years of calendar service, from 75% to 100%.

The new social guarantees will apply not only to future retirees but also to military personnel, employees and their family members who are already receiving pensions and have more than 30 years of calendar service.

The law also improves the framework for survivor pensions. State guarantees will be strengthened for family members of military personnel who die while serving or as a result of injuries or illnesses sustained during their service.
