At the conference, it was noted that Uzbekistan has achieved significant progress in establishing infrastructure for processing space monitoring data. While in 2022, the idea of launching a domestic satellite seemed premature due to the lack of necessary skills and market, the situation has now changed. A market for processing satellite data covering an area of 600,000 to 1 million square kilometers has been established in Uzbekistan, encompassing both public and private sectors.

Currently, a scientific satellite is being developed in collaboration with member states of the Organization of Turkic States. Uzbekistan is contributing to the creation of the technological component of the satellite, which will be integrated into the overall project. The launch is planned for mid-2026.

Additionally, the head of the “Uzbekcosmos” department, Ismoil Rasulov, announced the signing of an agreement with Japan's Kyushu Institute of Technology. As part of the cooperation, seven Uzbek teams will start developing, designing, and assembling their own satellites in 2025.
