Uzbekistan
A meeting with The Walt Disney Company Vice President and seven-time Emmy Award winner Jaima Washington was held on December 19. The project aims to transform the capital of Uzbekistan into a regional hub for children's content production, Saida Mirziyoyeva announced on her Telegram channel.
A new generation of animators, directors, and screenwriters will be trained in collaboration with Hollywood specialists. Jaima Washington expressed interest in the country's reforms and expressed her willingness to support Uzbekistan's initiatives.
The possibility of opening a Central Asian representative office for The Walt Disney Company in Uzbekistan and launching a television channel with children's content in the Uzbek language was also discussed.
One of the key projects will be the creation of a creative Cinema Park with preferential terms for international companies. Furthermore, a long-term plan to build a theme park similar to Disneyland is being considered, which could become a new driver of tourism in the region.
