Uzbekistan Achieves Impressive Economic Growth in the First Half of 2024.
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan's economy has shown remarkable growth in various sectors during January-June 2024. This growth highlights the effectiveness of the ongoing reforms and hard work across different areas of the economy.
The gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate reached 106.4%, indicating stable economic development. The industrial production index rose to 107.8%, confirming significant achievements in the industrial sector. The volume of construction work increased by 110.1%, reflecting the expansion of infrastructure projects.
Retail trade turnover grew by 108.4%, while the volume of market services increased by 112.9%. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries experienced a growth rate of 103.8%. Foreign trade turnover rose by 108.5%, with exports growing by 105.5% and imports by 110.6%.
