Uzbekistan's new ambassador to Iran appointed

Fariddin Nasriyev has been appointed Uzbekistan's ambassador to Iran. Prior to that, he headed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Kazan.
The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriyev has arrived in the capital of Iran. This is reported by Dunyo news agency.
The diplomat is 42 years old. In 2018─2023, he headed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, Russia. He graduated from Tashkent Financial Institute and Tashkent State Law Institute (now university).
He started his career in 1999 in the banking system and since 2003 in various structures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including diplomatic missions to Belgium and NATO. In the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he rose from the position of 3rd Secretary to Deputy Director.
He speaks English, French, Russian and Farsi. Fariddin Nasriyev replaced Bakhodir Abdullayev, who served as Ambassador to Tehran in 2015─2023.
