Over the past years, 7.5 million citizens have been lifted out of poverty, and in 2024 the poverty rate dropped to 8.9%, with plans to reduce it to 6% by the end of 2025. With the economy doubling in size and per capita income reaching $3,500, Uzbekistan is already on track to halve poverty before 2030. &ldquo;Today, we are ready to set an even higher goal: by 2030, Uzbekistan can fully eliminate absolute poverty &mdash; and we will achieve it,&rdquo; said President Mirziyoyev. The program &ldquo;From Poverty to Prosperity&rdquo; is based on seven priorities: creation of high-income jobs (in 2024, $35 billion in investments, 9,000 enterprises opened); development of education and vocational training (800,000 trained in 5 years); broader participation of women (1.7 million employed this year alone); accessible healthcare for vulnerable groups; targeted social protection through &ldquo;Inson&rdquo; centers; improving mahalla infrastructure; directing more than 70% of state spending toward SDGs. The forum brought together over 200 international experts, including representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, ADB, JICA, the World Bank, and the UN.
