The group will serve as an independent regional platform for regular and focused dialogue on issues of shared interest regarding Afghanistan. Housing for 500,000 families has been built &ndash; four times more than in the first 25 years of independence. Education has also seen major progress: preschool capacity increased to 2.5 million, 466 new schools were built, and the number of students grew fivefold to 1.5 million. The President called entrepreneurs &ldquo;the backbone of the economy.&rdquo; Industrial exports rose from $28 billion to $62 billion, construction volumes quadrupled, and the number of private construction companies exceeded 30,000. Tourism and IT are expanding rapidly: tourism exports reached $3 billion, while IT services surpassed $1 billion for the first time. &ldquo;Every achievement &ndash; whether new enterprises, roads, schools or hospitals &ndash; primarily serves to uphold human dignity and protect the rights and interests of our citizens,&rdquo; Mirziyoyev emphasized.
