Uzbekistan's renewable energy share reaches a record 30.6%

As of May 26 of this year, the proportion of wind and solar power stations reached 10.5% for the first time in the country's history. The overall share of renewable energy sources amounted to an impressive 30.6%. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that on this day, all power stations in the country produced 184.3 million kWh of electricity.
In particular, solar power stations produced 15.6 million kWh, and wind turbines generated 3.7 million kWh, totalling 19.3 million kWh of electricity. Thus, the share of solar and wind power stations on May 26 was 10.5%.
The ministry also noted that taking into account the 37 million kWh of electricity generated by hydroelectric power stations, a total of 56.3 million kWh of electricity was produced using renewable energy sources on May 26, accounting for 30.6% of the total production volume.
In particular, solar power stations produced 15.6 million kWh, and wind turbines generated 3.7 million kWh, totalling 19.3 million kWh of electricity. Thus, the share of solar and wind power stations on May 26 was 10.5%.
