Uzbeks win gold, silver and bronze at the Grand Slam 2024 tournament

Uzbekistan's judo team showed brilliant results at the Grand Slam tournament held in Tashkent from 1 to 3 March. The Uzbek judokas won two golds, one silver and three bronzes in the competition, which attracted about 500 athletes from 68 countries. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee.
Doston Ruziev in the 60kg weight category and Muzaffarbek Turaboyev in the 100kg category won gold medals in their respective weight categories. Silver medal was won by Gulhayo Juraeva in the weight category up to 52kg. Bronze medallists were Shakhram Ahadov (under 73kg), Obidkhon Numonov (under 73kg) and Davlat Bobonov (under 90kg).
These results allowed the Uzbek team to take third place in the team standings after France and Japan. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan expressed its sincere congratulations to the athletes, coaches and the entire judo federation of the country on this impressive achievement.
