On August 9, a delegation from Uzmetkombinat, headed by Chairman of the Management Board Bakhodir Abdullaev, held talks with the management of MCC CERI in Beijing. With the participation of Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China Farhod Arziev, the parties signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation.

The discussions focused on the development of the Tebinbulak iron ore deposit, the development of the Temirkan deposit, and the construction of a modern metallurgical complex.

On August 12, negotiations were held with CSCES International, during which the Chinese side presented a proposal to construct a 150 MW thermal power plant at the Uzmetkombinat site, as well as to introduce a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The new agreements are aimed at strengthening the company’s raw material and energy base, enhancing production resilience, and creating the conditions for the development of new metallurgical capacities.
