At a weekly press conference at the UN office in Geneva, WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic assessed the situation at Nasser Hospital following the raid by Israeli soldiers.
"We are very concerned about the situation developing at Nasser Hospital," Jasarevic emphasised, noting that the hospital is not actually functioning.
He also noted the damage to the hospital's orthopaedic department, which reduces the possibility of providing emergency medical care.
He also added that the deteriorating condition of Nasser Hospital is causing loss of lives. There are currently patients in critical condition in the hospital. It is necessary to bring fuel immediately and continue saving lives.
Jasarevic said that information about the evacuation of some patients to another building is also of concern, emphasising that this is a difficult task that requires special care.
The spokesman expressed his intention to get more information about the situation at Nasser Hospital and to provide access to his colleagues.
