“Xalq banki” Named Most Popular in Uzbekistan

According to the latest data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, nearly 62.3 million bank cards were in circulation as of early July 2025. The market is highly concentrated, with five major banks controlling over half of all cards issued.
Xalq banki leads with 10.08 million cards issued, holding 16% of the market. Agrobank follows with 7.68 million (12%), and Ipoteka Bank ranks third with 5.02 million (8%).
Also in the top five are TBC Bank (4.67 million, 7.5%) and the National Bank (4.16 million, 6.7%).
On the opposite end, several banks have minimal market presence: Soderot Bank Tashkent (2.3 thousand cards), Apex Bank (11.3k), Madad Invest Bank (18.7k), Poytaxt Bank (31.5k), and Hayot Bank (62.6k). Their total share is under 0.1%.
To encourage cashless payments, Uzbekistan regularly holds lotteries among active cardholders.
