Young people will be trained in professions in demand in the modern labor market
In our country, special attention is paid to training mid-level specialists who meet labor market requirements and possess modern knowledge and practical skills. Systematic work is underway to align vocational education with employer needs, incorporate advanced international practices, and expand dual education.

The Khorezm College of Advanced Professional Skills, established in Urgench, is designed to contribute to achieving these goals. 72.4 billion soums have been allocated from the state budget for the construction of the institution. Two academic buildings with 1,100 students, a 300-bed dormitory, a gymnasium, a 200-seat cafeteria, and two modern, fully equipped training workshops have been constructed on a 5.2-hectare site. The technical school offers training based on advanced educational programs from Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, China, and South Korea. The dual education system allows for the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the workplace.

In the 2026-2027 academic year, 200 talented young men and women were selected through a competitive process in 11 professional areas. The educational process is organized in collaboration with employers, with a special focus on ensuring graduates find employment in their chosen field.

The technical school also serves as a modern practical base for other vocational education institutions in the Khorezm region. Approximately 4,300 students from educational institutions in the region undertake practical training in the workshops and laboratories here. Plans are underway to gradually establish similar advanced technical schools of vocational excellence in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other regions.

The head of state also toured the Professions Town located on the school's grounds. This area provides the conditions for the early identification of young people's interests and abilities and their subsequent career guidance.

At the Career City, students will work directly with a variety of modern equipment and acquire practical skills using the "Do It Yourself" principle. It covers such in-demand sectors as transportation and logistics, industry and construction, services, agriculture, and green energy.

The complex will operate in collaboration with major employers. This will create a unified system – from career guidance for young people and the acquisition of practical skills to their subsequent employment.

Our President emphasized the importance of high-quality training for young people in professions in demand in today's labor market, systematically adapting educational programs to employer needs, and disseminating this experience to other regions.
