In our country, special attention is being paid to developing higher education in line with international standards, expanding cooperation with leading foreign universities, and training qualified personnel in modern fields.

As part of a project implemented in collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni, and Liaoning Normal University in China, a new educational complex has been built. 140 billion soums have been allocated from the state budget for its construction and equipment. 120 new jobs have been created.

The complex includes academic buildings with 560 seats, a library, a gym, a 200-seat cultural center, and a 118-seat cafeteria. The second four-story building houses classrooms with 628 seats and a student dormitory with 224 beds.

The admissions quota for 2026 is set at 160 students. Plans call for increasing the annual admissions to 500 students, and the total number of students to 2,000.

Instruction will be offered in person and online in Uzbek, Chinese, and English. Undergraduate programs will train students in International Education in Chinese, Tourism Management, International Business, and Artificial Intelligence, while graduate programs will train students in Methods of Teaching Chinese Language and Culture, Education Management, and Artificial Intelligence and Educational Technologies.

The branch's diploma will be directly recognized in Uzbekistan. Talented graduates will be offered the opportunity to continue their education on a grant basis at leading universities and complete internships at prestigious organizations in China.

Currently, 38 major projects worth $2.343 billion are being implemented in the Khorezm region with the participation of Chinese investors. These projects require qualified specialists with a good command of modern technologies and the Chinese language. The new educational institution and the Confucius Institute will help train personnel who meet these needs.

The President of our country emphasized the importance of harmonizing educational programs with the needs of the economy and labor market, as well as creating all the necessary conditions for students to master modern technologies and foreign languages.

At the same meeting, the head of state was presented with a unified national tourism platform, as well as new opportunities and incentives being created for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
