The permanent representation of Uzbekistan at the UN organized a presentation of the country's strategy for the development of artificial intelligence technologies until 2030 at the organization's headquarters in New York.
The presentation, held in cooperation with the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), was attended by UN leadership, various experts, and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in New York.
Participants were introduced to the main directions of the Strategy, as well as the ongoing reforms and achievements in the field of artificial intelligence development in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev pays special attention to the development of information technologies and the implementation of innovations.
The audience was informed about plans to increase the volume of AI-based software products and services in Uzbekistan to $1.5 billion, establish 10 scientific laboratories in this field, and strengthen the regulatory framework for the development of relevant technologies.
At the end of the event, an agreement was reached to further develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN in this area, reports Dunyo News Agency.
