A new state body has been established in Uzbekistan - the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Presidential Administration. Adham Khudaykulov, the former head of the education reform project, has been appointed its first director.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Yusupovich Khudaykulov has been appointed Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Presidential Administration. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Before his appointment, Khudaykulov headed the "Education Projects Center" project office, on the basis of which the new agency was created.

The National Agency will become the authorized state body for external quality control in the following areas:
secondary specialized and vocational education;
higher education and postgraduate education;
retraining and advanced training of personnel;
assessment of professional competencies.

The Agency will conduct:
Comprehensive state accreditation of educational institutions once every five years - based on the results of external assessment;
Special accreditation - before the start of educational programs in new areas of personnel training.

In addition, in order to analyze the compliance of graduates with the requirements of the modern labor market, the agency will begin conducting a nationwide survey of employers.
