An intergovernmental agreement on visa exemption was signed between Uzbekistan and China

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, based on the agreement between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and China, on December 1, 2024, the foreign ministers of both countries signed an Agreement on mutual visa exemption between the governments of Uzbekistan and China in Chengdu.
"As part of the implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of Uzbekistan and China, today, together with my colleague, we signed an Agreement that will allow our citizens to travel visa-free for 30 days to both countries," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on his Telegram channel.
"This document is another important step in activating our relations, increasing trade turnover, and developing ties between our peoples."
This international agreement regulates the issues regarding visa-free travel for citizens of Uzbekistan and China to each other's territories.
According to the Agreement, citizens of Uzbekistan and China will be exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, or transit through the territories of both countries for up to 30 days. This international treaty will come into effect after the parties have completed the necessary domestic procedures.
