“BMB Agro Plus” Opens in Jizzakh: A New Era in Agricultural Processing
Business
In the Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh, the opening of the “BMB Agro Plus” enterprise marks a significant milestone in Uzbekistan’s agricultural processing sector. The project focuses on processing the country’s fruits and vegetables using modern technologies and preparing them for export.
The $34.6 million investment project was launched as part of the first phase. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery from Belgium, Italy, Turkey, and China, enabling the processing of over 40,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually. Specifically, 21,000 tons of produce will be processed each year, resulting in 12,500 tons of dried products and 5,000 tons of raw materials for purees, jams, tomato paste, and more.
The project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase has established the production of processed products such as jams, canned goods, purees, and pastes. The second phase will introduce freeze-drying and shock-freezing technologies for fruits and vegetables.
Once fully operational, the enterprise will create more than 400 new jobs. This project is a fitting gift to the local population on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the country’s independence.
