Uzbekistan’s President signed Resolution No. PP-389 on November 8, 2024, to enhance the rehabilitation system by involving people with disabilities in sports activities.
From December 15, 2024, the "Inson" social service centers will provide people with disabilities with free access to state-owned sports facilities. This initiative aims to expand opportunities for health and wellness activities for individuals with disabilities.
In 2025-2026, sports facilities will be constructed and equipped at special education institutions for children with special needs and in "Murovvat" care homes. Additionally, new sports clubs will be established for students.
The resolution also establishes regional branches of the Association of Adaptive Sports of Uzbekistan and an Institute for Retraining Specialists in Adaptive Sports at the National Paralympic Committee. These efforts aim to support the growth of adaptive sports and strengthen expertise in the field.
On February 1, 2025, retraining courses for adaptive sports specialists will commence, with a four-year certification awarded upon completion.
