Energy Ministry Says Fuel Reserves Are Sufficient for the Autumn-Winter Season

Uzbekistan has sufficient petroleum product reserves for the next two to three months and is fully meeting its domestic fuel demand. First Deputy Energy Minister Umid Mamadaminov made the statement following a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to Mamadaminov, energy security has become increasingly important amid the current geopolitical situation. Uzbekistan is not only building fuel reserves but also steadily expanding its domestic production capacity.
Petroleum product output in the country has exceeded 1.2 million tonnes. Private businesses import an additional 600,000–700,000 tonnes, allowing domestic demand to be fully covered.
Special attention has also been given to preparations for the autumn-winter season. A dedicated plan has been developed and sufficient fuel reserves have been accumulated. According to the Energy Ministry, existing stocks, combined with current domestic production, will be enough for the next two to three months.
The ministry expects the upcoming autumn-winter season to proceed without disruptions through coordinated work with regional authorities and energy sector organisations.
