Fruits and Vegetables Grown in Uzbekistan to Be Exported Directly to Sweden
With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a webinar was held by the Swedish National Board of Trade, focusing on the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables. Representatives of leading Uzbek export companies participated in the event.

During the webinar, it was highlighted that fruits and vegetables grown in Uzbekistan currently enter the Swedish market primarily through the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy. Therefore, proposals were made to establish warehouses and trading houses for food and produce in Stockholm and Helsingborg to enable direct export of goods in the future.

Swedish partners delivered a presentation on the tariff and non-tariff measures required for importing fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as the procedures for working with major retail chains.

The webinar also addressed issues related to supporting Uzbek small and medium-sized business representatives and enhancing the professional capacity of export company staff within the framework of the Swedish National Board of Trade’s "Open Trade Gate" program.
