Hybrid power plant to be built by Chinese company in Navoi region

As part of the events of the second day of his visit to China, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corporation Song Hailiang.
The value of the company's assets is more than $150 billion. China Energy is implementing projects to build solar and wind power plants in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions, a heating plant in Syrdarya region.
"The company plans to participate in the construction of a hybrid power plant in Navoi region. In addition, a modern cement production facility in Samarkand region was jointly launched in September this year," the President's press service said.
Prospects of partnership with China Energy were discussed, including modernisation of infrastructure facilities, organisation of energy storage systems, training of qualified specialists within the framework of the Industry Development Programme until 2030.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in the water sector, implementation of joint projects in various industries.
