In March, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $1.35 billion

Since the beginning of the year, the export of precious metal has amounted to $2.66 billion.
The foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for January-March 2024 amounted to $15.8 billion, which is almost $1 billion, or 6.2% more than for the same period in 2023.
According to the Statistics Agency, exports grew by 10% to $6.38 billion. Imports increased to $9.44 billion. The trade deficit slightly decreased and amounted to $3.05 billion, which is $232.2 million less than in 2023.
In the first quarter, gold exports increased by 10.5% to $2.66 billion ($2.41 billion in the first quarter of 2023). This accounts for 41.7% of the country's total exports.
In March, gold worth more than $1.35 billion was exported, almost the same amount as in February ($1.32 billion).
