A convoy carrying humanitarian aid has been shelled in the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli blockade and bombardment. This was reported by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
In a statement, the ICRC called for respect for humanitarian workers in the besieged Gaza Strip and called on all parties in Gaza to protect humanitarian workers in accordance with international humanitarian law.
"The International Committee of the Red Cross condemns and deplores the shelling of a humanitarian aid convoy in the Gaza Strip. We are deeply troubled that our humanitarian convoy in Gaza City came under fire today," the committee said in a statement.
