Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov called on the United States and other countries not to interfere in the internal affairs of the country and to objectively assess the ongoing processes.

He stressed that he seeks equal co-operation and is ready to work with various countries and international partners, including the United States, but asks not to interfere in the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

This statement was made in response to a message from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to the head of the republic. On 11 February, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with US Ambassador to Bishkek Leslie Viguerie and delivered a message from the Secretary of State, who expressed concern for civil society in Kyrgyzstan.
