Kyrgyzstan hopes for simplified trade procedures for exporting honey, dried fruits, and other agricultural products to the United States.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Temirbek Erkinov met with the U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Leslie Viguerie. The parties discussed increasing the volume of Kyrgyz exports to the American market.
They also reviewed a trade facilitation program between the two countries, aimed at reducing bureaucratic barriers and creating favorable conditions for mutual trade.
The Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed interest in developing temporary labor programs for Kyrgyz citizens in the United States. Additionally, they proposed creating educational and training programs to help Kyrgyz specialists legally find employment in America.
Leslie Viguerie noted that American investors are interested in developing tourism in Kyrgyzstan. According to him, the country has rich natural and cultural potential, which could attract foreign tourists.
The parties also discussed funding prospects for infrastructure and investment projects. One of the key areas of discussion was developing the extraction and processing of strategic minerals, which are essential for the production of high-tech goods.
