Mass riots broke out overnight in Paris
In the streets - crowds of people, fires, broken shop windows and barricades of rubbish bins. Protesters are engaged in a "shootout" with police. They used tear gas, smoke bombs and fireworks.

On 30 June, the first round of elections to the French National Assembly was held. According to the voting results, Marine Le Pen's party "National Rally" is in the lead. "New Popular Front" is in second place with 29.1 per cent. The coalition of French President Emmanuel Macron, which received 21.5 per cent of votes, took the third place.
