More than 200 deputies are demanding that Starmer recognize Palestine
The UK is facing increasing domestic and international pressure on the recognition of Palestine. 221 members of the British Parliament signed an open letter addressed to Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Minister David Lemmy, demanding steps be taken to officially recognize the State of Palestine.

The letter emphasizes that the recognition of Palestine as an independent state "has historical significance" and should be carried out "without delay." The document was published on Friday on the social network X (formerly Twitter) on the page of the Labour Party deputy Sarah Champion.
