According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, a photograph of the soldier, who appeared gaunt and injured, was circulated on the Telegram messaging app. However, no detailed information about the soldier’s condition or status has been provided.
Reports of the North Korean soldier’s capture were published by Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi. The outlet stated that special forces captured the soldier in the Kursk region, in territory controlled by Ukrainian forces during their offensive.
