OpenAI's CEO has been fired
The CEO of OpenAI (owner of chatbot ChatGPT AI) Sam Altman is stepping down from his position and from the board of directors. This is stated in a statement from the company.

The board believes Altman "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities."

"We are grateful for Sam’s many contributions to the founding and growth of OpenAI. At the same time, we believe new leadership is necessary as we move forward," the statement said.

OpenAI was launched in 2015 by Sam Altman and entrepreneur Ilon Musk, but Musk stepped down from the board three years later.
