President of the Republic of Korea pays state visit to Uzbekistan

At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife arrived in Uzbekistan on 13 June on a state visit, UzA reports.
Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport.
State flags of the two countries were raised and a guard of honour was formed in honour of the distinguished guest.
The main events of the visit will take place tomorrow, 14 June.
The summit talks will discuss topical issues of further deepening Uzbek-Korean relations of friendship and special strategic partnership.
A number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed following the summit.
The Presidents of the two countries are scheduled to participate in a joint business forum.
According to the programme, the South Korean leader will also visit the city of Samarkand to get acquainted with the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
