Promised to Help Obtain a Driver's License, Suspected of Fraud

According to information received from the Department of Internal Affairs of Uchtepa district, a certain Mahkam promised 36-year-old Sirojiddin K. to help obtain a driver's license for $1400 USD. However, he did not fulfill his promise and spent the money on his personal needs.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of article 168 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As a result of operational search measures, the 40-year-old suspect, Mahkam S., was identified and detained. Investigative actions are ongoing.
