Prospects for implementing investment projects with US companies were discussed

On the eve of the 5th anniversary Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of leading US companies.
The meeting was attended by John Yovanovitch, President and Chairman of the US Eximbank; Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC); Carolyn Lamm, Chairperson of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce; and executives from Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, Black Rock, FLS, Visa, JP Morgan, Meta, GULF, and many others.
The head of state noted with satisfaction that the current meeting continued a good tradition and demonstrates the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that the economic agenda is one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
In this context, the leader of our country outlined a number of key areas for further deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to promoting specific projects for the development and processing of critical materials, in energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and many other areas.
The heads of leading American companies, thanking the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for fruitful investor activity, voiced their specific proposals and plans.
Following the roundtable discussion, a ceremony was held to exchange bilateral documents with leading US companies.
