Russia and Central Asia: migration issue under control
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Russia maintains dialogue with its Central Asian partners on migration issues. Moscow is ready to explain the measures taken and take into account the appeals of its colleagues.

In February, new rules came into force in Russia, according to which illegal migrants are entered into the register of controlled persons with subsequent deportation. This is part of the large-scale tightening of migration legislation, which, according to State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, is one of the key priorities.

Russian authorities emphasize that the new measures are aimed not at specific nationalities, but at maintaining public order and the safety of both migrants and Russian citizens.
